The Garden Front
Well, the men working on the roof have moved to the “garden front” of the museum to begin work on the other side of the roof. They removed the scaffolding from the front of the house and its now running up the back (or garden front) of the mansion.
Today is a nice, cool and comfortable day, and here is the important word - sunny. Its a good day for the guys to be working on the roof. It’s not hot. It’s not wet and rainy. And yes, they did work on some of those days when we had rain.
A new strong roof represents stability to me. It protects the mansion from the elements. Life continues and although its bricks date back to the 18th century, the structure will survive in the 21st.
